Hi Marilibra43,

I’ve seen that you’ve not had a reply yet so thought I’d say hi. I’ve not posted anything on here yet, have just been reading other posts & replies. How did you cysts get diagnosed? I’m in a similar situation, I had a lump in my abdomen and was due to have an ultrasound with the NHS which was cancelled due to COVID. I got an ultrasound and MRI privately as the lump was bothering me and found a huge cyst coming from my left ovary (17cm), I’m told this is probably a endometrioma (chocolate cyst). I’ve not had any pain and my periods have been regular so still not really sure if I have endometriosis, am waiting for an appointment with NHS gynaecologist. Have you had any symptoms of endometriosis?

When is your MRI? It is all scary but from what I’ve read it’s very common to have cysts. Good luck with the MRI. Xx

Hi Matilda.. I had lower abdomen pain. Thought it was crohn's disease as I had my large bowel removed and thought it was back. They did a internal scan, and found the cysts on my pelvis and ovaries. In a lot of pain, and feel like I'm needing to pass urine constantly... Oh and very sore breasts. MRI is being done on the 9th of February. Fingers crossed its not anything more sinister. Gynaecologist was talking surgery, but I've had two major operations due to the crohns and they are saying if they can avoid it they will. I have never had problems with my periods and no never been diagnosed with endometriosis. Fingers crossed you will get an appointment soon. My gynaecologist was great.. Not going to pretend I am not worried. Thanks for responding. Let me know when you get your appointment through. X
