Hello. I have recently had a laproscopy, appendix removal, d/c, ‘freeing’ of my ovaries (fused), hysteriacopy and a mirena inserted. It was my first surgery abs I have been very blessed to have had 3 children, unassisted. I have suffered severely for years though with crippling pain. I have had one zolodex injection, and am due for my second next week. Initially I had 24hours of severe anxiety and ‘crazy’ and then it calmed down. I have had a period now for 7 days, and it’s been heavy and painful. I have had a constant headache since then abs it is beginning to affect my daily functioning. The last 3 days I have developed crippling joint pain, I almost dropped my 2 year old my wrists abs elbows hurt so much. I am hobbling round like an older lady. The doctor says this isn’t an issue. I am not convinced - and I am not looking forward to 6 months of this if it worsens. I have 3 kids under 5 and my eldest is about to start
School. I was prepared to be feeling better, not like I’d been hit by a truck - seeking others experiences and advice

Are you on HRT yet? If not, request it and preferably in a patch you change twice weekly as I found that helps a lot more with the side effects. Naproxen is also good for joint pain and lots and lots of water! I also take magnesium, riboflavin and feverfew to help with the headaches x
Thanks for replying b_bart88. Yes, on daily HRT. I had 4 litres yesterday .... hoping it would improve but sadly not. Each day is worse! I had forgotten about magnesium. Thank you! Hoping it’s worth the pain, at the moment it’s almost worse than the endo.
I’ve found the aching and painful joints the worst side effect, I do find that naproxen is really good and a HRT patch instead of tablets. I have a nearly two year old and like you, some days I couldn’t even carry him because I just felt like I’d collapse!
Thanks so much, I’ll definitely ask about the patch. It’s so tricky, I have a 3 abs 5 year old also I feel like I’ve not been able to do anything this week. It’s just awful
