has anyones results been back with the gp within 24 hours?
Hi, don't worry too much. I had an ultrasound on 30th Dec last year and my consultant got them on the day. The speed doesn't automatically suggest anything to worry about. Mine didn't have anything serious to report and they were that quick. They can log into the hospital system to see the report. Might be worth asking them to do that x
Hi!
When I had my ultrasound I was very anxious and the lovely assistant who was with the lady who did my ultrasound told me on the way out that they send the reports over same day, so advised me to call in the morning in case of delay and they were back! It’s understandable that you’ve felt concerned by this, but think it is quite normal that they’re back so quickly, some Drs surgery’s are also quicker at reviewing tests! Hope everything is okay! Xx
The fact you had a trainee in means you should not worry she probably invited someone else in to get validation of the scans findings .results speed can vary from practice to practise .good luck !the thing you should have done is asked questions during the scan if you were concerned try to be more vocal about your feelings next time to prevent this worry.i now always ask in a scan their findings your allowed to ask!
I’ve had them quickly, both times though they’ve told me what they found, but have reached the GP same day. Try not to worry, but it’s very easy to 🙂
I wouldn't worry they are pretty quick I think they get sent to consultant straight away then they call you to discuss. I had my scan and was told to give a couple of days then make appt to speak to consultant. I think the couple of days is more for the consultant to review them etc but the scan itself is sent to them pretty quick. When I had a scan a few years ago the nurse herself doing it told me straight away I had cysts but some dont they let doc or consultant go thro it all with you just depends x
