Coming off mirena (endo treatment) to start trying for a baby - anyone have any experience with this? What was your endo like?

I was diagnosed with endometriosis at age 19. Had various operations since, pills, etc. I've now had a mirena in for the past 9 years, it has completely stopped my periods. I do still have endo pain at the time Im ovulating and when due a period which i manage with tramadol. I am nearly 32 and thinking of taking the mirena out, to start trying for a baby in the next 9/10 months. I believe it can take 90% of couples 12 months to concieve after mirena removal. Im so scared of what I'll be like with periods again (prev was bed bound for at least 3 days) and really struggled with pain which impacted my life a lot. Hard as it cant stay in forever. Does anyone have any similar experiences /advice?? Much appreciated

The fact that you know you ovulate on the mirena does mean that endo can still progress. If you have a lot of pain after you have it removed you would be best to seek investigations as the the endo might prevent you from conceiving and its best to know this as early as possible rather than waiting many months after trying.
