Not allowed another lap operation, needing advice please!

So I'm undergoing an investigation for Endometriosis and I've been told that there won't be any point in having another Lap (last time they did it to find endo but I had an extremely severe case of PID so any endo was likely hidden) I have every single symptom of Endometriosis, including bad IBS/Bowel problems and I've had severe period pain, cramping, nausea, heavy periods (I bleed through Super + tampons within 30 mins to an hour sometimes), feeling faint & headaches etc. I don't want to self diagnose but I'm honestly so unsure of what I can do now to have a proper diagnosis. I was on the contraceptive pill and have tried every single contraceptive after that and nothing has helped my problem at all.

Any advice is welcome thank you x

Is this from gynae or GP?

The endo UK site has some great info for consultations.

You probably need a referral to a specialist, have a look at the NICE guidelines as well.

There is usually an online consultation form on your GP website these days with an option to request a referral. Have a look to see what specialists are in your area. The form will allow you to jot down all your symptoms and you can try and request the consultant you want to see. This way it’s in black and white, recorded and can’t be ignored.

You know your body and no doubt in needing a diagnosis. It’s far too stressful at present, hopefully the outcome from parliament will be a step (or 50 🤞) forward.

I don’t know if this helps

So my GP referred me to a specialist gynaecologist at the Spires Hospital and it was the gynaecologist who said it would cause more harm than good having a second lap done. I was referred again by said gynaecologist to the Pelvic Pain Clinic at my local hospital but they cancelled the appointment due to Covid but it's getting worse. I'm so sick of being passed from one person to the next without and explanation 😪

If it was me I’d ask for a referral elsewhere with an endo specialist. I’ve had lap, now waiting open surgery, no one has said anything about two ops aren’t good. If you’d had more it would make sense. Scar tissue can build up. The first gynaecologist put in the follow up letter that further surgery could be complicated, but he did refer to the BSGE consultant as Zoladex wasn’t working.

Maybe give the pain clinic a call to see if they’ve had any cancellations. It can speed things up.

Let us know how you get on. I’m sure you won’t need it, but good luck 🙂
