I have extremely painful periods, so bad that I feel faint, my legs go numb and I feel so sick. It's a pain I can't describe to anyone because nobody will understand how painful it is, it's like someone is ripping my insides out. However, when I bleed, It's not majorly heavy, it's ok. The bleeding isn't an issue, it's the pain. I bleed for 2-3 days and then stop for a day and then bleed again.
Basically, I bleed normally for a day or 2 (not heavy), I get a lot of clots but the majority of my period blood is brown. Does anyone else have this?

I used to have brown periods and light spotting like a pink colour and it sounds disgusting but light on the pad but like water when wiping . I had massive clots which was extremely painful, headaches and sickness. On scan my uterus was too thick and was because of the hormones due to endo I hope this helps x
My periods aren't overly heavy, usually last from 5-7 days, day 2 being the heaviest. I have lots of small clots or a few large, the blood is actually very dark, pretty much purple (apparently indication of high oestrogen levels & common with endo). The last day or 2 the blood is brown.
I've got to the stage now where I cramp 95% of the entire month - legs, back, abdomen & with nausea. It's worse during my period but I do find ovulation cramps are even worse though, building for 2-3 days, agony for a whole day or 2, then easing off for another few days. I have been leaning against the walls, pacing, breathing through the pain, pretty mach early labour without the happy ending. I suspect that I ovulate more than once each month too.
