I’ve been getting on and off pelvic pain for around 2.5 years, I never had any problems however I feel as if my contraceptive implant may be playing a role within this as I never had any issues before I had it. I am getting it removed soon to see if I notice a change.
I’ve been concerned about the possibility of it being endo and have spoken to around 6 different doctors... including a few gynaecologists. Each and every one of them said although than cannot rule it out completely (as a lap is the only way to fully diagnose) they said it’s very unlikely it is endo as my symptoms don’t match up. I’ve had multiple test, including three ultrasounds which all came back clear and healthy.
Because of my anxiety I’m thinking of looking for a private opinion, how much would speaking to a private consultant about this cost? I also work in a GP and am also tempted to speak to the gynaecologist there, since I know her on a personal level I feel as though I may get taken a little more seriously? Not that I feel my GP haven’t cause I believe they have.

I ended up seeking private help because the NHS doctors were too overrun and I was continuously having to fight my case. Alongside various other issues.
My private consultation cost me £225 and was utterly worth it. The progression of all my other treatments/surgeries stemmed from that one consultation and I wouldn't be where I am now, had I not taken that step.
I wanted to send you to the wonder woman that is Caroline Overton (saw back in 2018 at Nuffield in Bristol), but sadly she has recently retired.
I'm sorry I cannot give you more. But for a rough estimate, it was £225 for a 45 minute session.
I hope the removal of the implant helped somewhat? And if not, I hope you gain the help you need and deserve.
