Hi everyone. I am looking for some advice for anyone who has gone down the road of egg freezing. I am 30 years old & have stage 3 endo & also adenomyosis. Has anyone frozen eggs due to these conditions? And did you have much success? What was your experience? Did the drugs etc make your endo symptoms worse? Did you have a good amount of eggs collected at the end? Any advice would be so much appreciated. I have my first appointment tomorrow and I’m unsure of what I should be asking. Thank you Xx

Hi Faith! I’m also 30 and looking into egg freezing, would you be able to share with me what you found out through your appointments/ research?
Hi there! I had a consultation with a fertility clinic about this. They done some basic blood tests on me and checked AMH levels etc. They said I would be a good candidate as my AMH was quite good and also said waiting a few years wouldn’t make a huge difference in terms of the quantity and quality of eggs they would expect to collect. From 35 onwards egg quality and quantity would start to decline a lot so I made the decision to wait. I am planning on doing this when I am 31/32. The whole process was going to cost €4000 and it is approx €300 a year then for storage. The consultant didn’t think the medication would affect my endometriosis too much. I hope that helps.
I looked into this it's very expensive plus you have to pay storage costs on top of this I think you need medication to collect the eggs Could be wrong it's good your thinking about it now as they don't really recommend it when you get to 35 sometimes 30 is quite old for egg freezing .remember egg freezing is not like having sex at that age it is rather more complex than that with egg freezing there's no guarantee just like ivf than if you were to try conceive now naturally
