Hello, this is first time I’ve used anything like this.

I’m 22 years old and was diagnosed with endometriosis and have several cysts on both my ovaries.

My partner and I have been trying for a baby for over two and half years now. I had an operation over 3 years but it came back with vengeance.

Over 2 years ago I lost nearly 2 stone without realising and since then have had no luck gaining weight.

It came to the time of going to the fertility clinic. We had all the test he was fine, my hcg was high and they were unsure why as I’m so young and have a satisfactory egg count. All the other tests were fine. They told me I wasn’t eligible for treatment at present due to my bmi being so low.

Several month’s later I’m still waiting, My gynaecology consultant wants me to have an operation but doesn’t want to operate for the second time as I’ve still not had a baby and the risks are high. So he requested my fertility consultant to request that my case is looked at and to see if they could fund treatment giving the circumstances. I’ve been informed today that the request has been cancelled.

I just feel like I’m passed from pillar to post and never really get an answer unless I ring up and chase it.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice or could let me know any supplements or vitamins that you have been taking? Or if anyone has any advice on trying for a baby anything I can do to try and boost my chances.

Thank you for reading

❤️

So sorry to hear that, that's really tough. I'm afraid what you've described about having to chase answers is standard, but at least you know what you have to do now to get anywhere.

This is maybe a long a shot, but with your weight issue and higher HCG levels, I was wondering whether you might be able to ask for a referral to an endocrinologist? Could there be something going on with your endocrine system - thyroid, pituitary, undiagnosed "thin PCOS"? There would probably be a long wait to see one but you might as well get on the list.

I was also wondering if you've been tested for coeliac disease, because of your inability to gain weight?

No advice on vitamins unless you can afford to spend a lot of money on things that probably won't work . . . .

They did a load of test when I first lost the weight and everything came back normal. I had the cameras as well to see if anything was going off inside but they all came back normal as well. So they discharged and me referred to a dietitian but I’ve had no luck gaining weight!

Someone mentioned to me about acupuncture- so I’m looking in to that. I think now I’ll give anything a try - if it’s not to expensive.

Thank you for you’re advice ❤️
