Anyone with experience coming off decapeptyl/zoladex GnHR inhibitor?

I have been getting monthly decapeptyl injections since Jan. I had my 3rd and final one 4 weeks ago and so I'm just wondering what to expect as it comes out my system. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and have had loads of complications and been really unwell. I was admitted to hospital again yesterday this time with fluid in a lung which they think is the result of an infection & pleuracy. I've possibly got a bladder infection too.

I've not tolerated the decapeptyl well, the menopausal symptoms have been fairly severe and it's worsened my fatigue. Ever since I started it, it's just made me feel really unwell. So, it's made it difficult to know what's what with the post surgery complications. I'm just really keen to get this stuff out of my system now. I just wondered what people's experiences of ending it were like. Will it be a gradual change or will it be like going through puberty again?!

Hi - sorry to hear you’ve been poorly. I don’t think I noticed any dramatic changes. The brain fog lifts and after about 8 weeks my period returned. I don’t remember their being any terrible side effects and my body went back to normal.

Thank you for replying. That's so great to hear that you went back to mammal without anything dramatic. I think I'm just not trusting anything to go smoothly now! Hopefully it'll be just as you experienced.
