So first of all, I haven't been diagnosed with endometriosis as of yet but I've always had a feeling deep down that I do have some form of it. I started my period when I was 12 and they were horrendous! The pain was so bad that I'd throw up and I had to take time off school. Fast forward a few years and they weren't getting much better so I went to the doctors and started taking the pill. Let's just say the pill didn't agree with me at all, I tried two types and it made me really ill so I had to come off it. I think artificial hormone simply don't agree with me. I also have some form of bacterial overgrowth, the doctor has told me. Anyway, for a while my periods we're too bad until recently. My last couple periods have been awful, throwing up, diarrhea, in agony. And sex has been really painful too, afterwards I find it even hard to sit down.
So I guess what I really want to know is what is the next step? The idea of a laparoscopy terrifies me but I struggle to see any other option. By the way, I had a pelvic ultrasound about 6 months ago and that showed nothing.
I'm 21 and not planning on having kids just yet but the thought that I might never have them makes me feel so sad. Any advice would be great.
