From the start of this year I have had pain in my left lower abdomen - it reminded me a bit of when I had an ovarian cyst burst but wasn't as severe. It has been getting more frequent and then I started getting nauseous and dizzy to the point where I ended up in the emergency department twice. I do get some pain during intercourse. And the pain started radiating down my leg, up my shoulders and across my lower back (it felt a bit like labour) a GP put me on Gabapentin and it has helped with the referred pain but it still feels like my left ovary is sore. If I did too much then the dizziness and nausea kick in and I'm tired alot. I was referred privately to a Gynae and just had a laparoscopy to look for endo or adhesions (I have had an emergency caesarian and an emergency ovarian cystectomy) and everything looks normal. I haven't had a chance to ask the surgeon questions as I was sleepy when she came around after. I also had a mirena put in while I was under.
I really hoped I would get some answers and now I'm not sure what happens next? Has anyone else had something similar? Could it just be neuropathic pain? I have deep tenderness on my left when the gynae palpated. They pain doesn't even seem that bad but it is there everyday. The nausea and dizziness stop me functioning. I can't exercise properly and work can be hard. I'm sick of feeling crappy!
