Can’t stop peeing! So not normal .....

I have Adenomyosis and possibly Endometriosis and have noticed that I am constantly needing to go and urinate. I can go and then need again 5 minutes later.

I can’t walk past a toilet.

Is this normal?

I have read that you can get Endometriosis in your bladder too x

Hi AllthatGlitters,

I have exactly the same. It's got particularly bad since I switched onto cerazette.

My gynae has said in my case it's partially because of the cerazette and partially because my uterus is so swollen from the adeno. It's so inconvenient and uncomfortable.

My gynae is pretty confident I also have endo including on my bladder but I've refused to have a lap so I'm not sure what effect it could be having.

I recommend keeping a bladder diary for a few days. The two things I have tried which have helped so far are bladder retraining (gone from approx every 30 mins to 45 mins/1 hour) and completely cutting caffeine. Next step I might take is to try a medication..

X

Hi Helephant3 it’s so annoying isn’t it, other people notice too how often you go. I am convinced Endometriosis is now on my bladder and it’s always worse when I am on a period as I have that heavy feeling. I have Adenomyosis too and I wonder if that could be causing it? Up during the night with peeing too & cant wait to get my lap date in x

I had this problem, too. I had a larger than grapefruit-sized endometrioma on my ovary and it was pressing on everything. So it wasn’t on my bladder, but once it came out, everything was better.

I have a cyst on my ovary but they said it’s not that big and will be leaving it. Could that be causing me to pee a lot? x

I’m not sure how much they really know about size. They were very surprised when they realized how big mine was.

Cysts on my ovaries definitely caused me to wee a lot... Honestly I remember watching TV & needing a wee every time there was a break! I did have 8 to 10cm cysts on both ovaries though. X

Thank you, sounds like you have cysts a lot worse than me x
