Hello Ladies,

Can anybody help me, I was under Mr Kramer I was supposed to see him 12th July. But had to cancel as my mother-in-law had been rushed in to hospital but suddenly passed away. They re-arranged the appointment which clashed with her funeral so I had to cancel again. They told me to wait a week and re-arrange an appointment. So I did that to find out id been discharged from Mr Kramer' s clinic. O got told id been discharged because I did turn up to 2 appointments. I think this is disgusting as I explained to them why had to cancel my appointments. Does anybody know what I can do. I'm really annoyed.😡

Hello lixzyxx

Yes it's Mr Kramer in pinderfields. X

Have you rang his secretary? Seems like there's been a bit of a miscommunication - you didn't 'not turn up', you cancelled and rearranged. Perhaps if you speak to the secretary you can explain why your appointments had to be rearranged, and then make a new appointment. Other than that, I'd start looking for a new consultant.

Hello h_grahh,

Thank you for reply. :)

I've already rung his secretary to explain what had happened, and if I could re-book through her.

She said she doesn't have anything to do with his appointments.

I was slightly confused then I thought well why are you a secretary then. So after that I put pen to paper and I've wrote him a not nice letter explaining.

I'm waiting for a reply that's if I get one. It will probably end up straight in the bin.

Thanks Sam

Oh that's so frustrating, every consultant I've had, their secretary has been the one who deals with their appointments etc - very strange. Are you NHS or private? Both systems have a way of making a complaint, so I'd go ahead and do that before booking an appointment with another consultant!

Hello h_grahh,

I'm NHS, I was going to make a complaint. But then changed my mind as it could make it awkward to see the specialist eventually. It could be towards Christmas there's a 3 month waiting list. So ive been told i have to wait until an appointment becomes available.

You would have thought though the appointments centre, would have a bit more compassion. But obviously not They don't give a diddly squat.

Thanks

Sam

Personally, I wouldn't want to stay with that consultant with the way you've been treated 😡

Maybe contact the GP who referred you and see if they have any advice or could refer you to someone else?

Sorry to hear how you’ve been treated it’s not okay.

I’ve had rubbish communication breakdowns at my endo centre & I contacted PALS. I didn’t complain as such but I did point out the errors & they resolved it the next day!

I think your best port of call is PALS it does sound a simple miscommunication error on administration team. Only if you fail to turn up without cancelling should you be discharged. I found PALS very helpful xoxo
