Looking for advice from people with a confirmed diagnosis

Hi everyone. I’m looking at a potential diagnosis for Endometriosis and was wondering if anyone suffers from a feeling of being warm (not necessarily a temperature but warm for you) and general pelvic discomfort? I’ve been feeling this way for over two weeks and had a couple of instances of pelvic pain period like cramps, one of which just didn’t go away in over 8 hours despite taking 550mg of Naprogesic and some panadol (note I wasn’t on my period). I am due to see my GP about something else next week so will raise this but keen to know from anyone with a diagnosis if you ever get these types of symptoms? Thank you in advance for any input.

Hey, I’ve just been confirmed of having endo yesterday and I got pelvic pain all the time. It was like a dull ache 24/7 but turns out it was a large chocolate cyst on my ovary and endo around the area xx

Thanks. Did you have a laparoscopy to confirm diagnosis?

I have confirmed endo (through an mri) and I get what I call a hot and inflamed feeling in my abdomen. Its when I feel at my worst. The pain isn't through the roof but it's very hard to cope with. I'll get abdominal pain and very bad lower back pain. And I'll feel extremely tired. It usually lasts a few days and gradually goes away. I'm actually just recovering from my most recent flare up of this. I'm still tired from it but the hot inflamed feeling has gone. I'm mid cycle but I haven't noticed this happening at a certain time of my cycle. It seems to happen at any time, I've definitely had this during my period some months.

I've understood it as internal inflammation and I've given up trying to figure what causes it! It's definitely not food as I've done lots of elimination diets and healing diets and for me it makes no difference. I'm vegan and don't eat gluten or soya and it still happens so... I think it's just the joys of endo and maybe my hormones setting it off.

Thank you. That explains it perfectly although I’m off cycle at the moment. Very sick of waking up feeling unrested, warm and inflamed.

I just try to really look after myself when I feel this way. More rest and lots of care towards myself. I make really nutritious smoothies and go very easy. I used to push through it but I don't feel that's good for me.

It is frustrating though! Xx

Heya - not so much the warm thing, but I definitely get pain in my abdomen at seemingly random points (I was diagnosed in November last year.) Sometimes it's like period cramps, sometimes sharp stabbing pains around my hipbones, and sometimes it's just like general discomfort. Good luck with the diagnosis xx
