Advice needed

I was just wondering if anyone has been prescribed pregabalin for pain?

My doctor has just given me it but I’m unsure if I want to take it

I'm on it, currently at 200mg in total. It's helped my anxiety and my sleep and has muted down the pain a fair bit, though not eliminated it entirely. Only side effects are increased appetite and a faint dizziness when I swing my head too fast. Alcohol doesn't mix particularly well with it.

I am a bit of a fan and usually I don't tolerate medication at all well.

Forgot to add that I increased the dosage only very gradually in units of 25mg to minimise any side effects. Also my physio told me taking more than what I'm on as a higher dose tends to carry more side effects and not reduce the pain further which I proved to myself in an experiment the other day.
