Move your arms gently like you’re doing front crawl.

And be prepared... that gas can only come out one of two ways... burps or bottom burps! For some reason I hadn’t quite realised this after my lap and was a bit embarrassed!!

peppermint oil capsules helped me. they said there would be shoulder pain as it dissipates (pressure on nerves shoots up shoulder), so massage and moving it helps. As for getting rid of the gas directly, it kind of reabsorbs on its own over a few days as Lizzie says it comes out some way!

I suffered for four days with severe pain in my shoulders. It was nearly as painful as the endo I had the laparoscopy for. Movement seemed to help, pottering round the house (tried to walk the dog on day three and came home in tears with the pain so probably not too much). It was definitely worse in the morning after being lay down so being upright. Unfortunately, I think it just takes time. Sorry.

Thank you! Yes I have been up and moving around a lot found sleep to be the worst and had to dig out a pregnancy pillow to try to get comfortable! Drunk pints of peppermint tea so hopefully it will shift! Thanks for the advice x
