Hey guys just wondering, I have just got a letter in the mail saying my pain clinic referral has been received and accepted, has anyone been to pain clinic? What happens there/was it helpful?
Thanks x

Hi
I am still waiting to see a second gynecologist (after the first dismissed me immediately), and was also referred to a pain clinic.
In many ways it wasn't really the right place for me whilst still waiting for a diagnosis and possible treatment, but I have still found the referral really useful. They have the ability to look at all sorts of help for you if you are struggling with the pain, including psychologist appointments to help you cope, and I have just started a course of acupuncture at the clinic. They were also the ones who re-referred me to gynecology, and specifically to an endometriosis specialist.
Although I ended up in the pain clinic because I was initially dismissed from gynecology, they ended up being far more help than everyone I've seen combined, and with shorter waits for appointments!
Hope it all goes well!
