I just wanted some advice really. On Monday, I have my surgery follow up with my gynaecologist at the endometriosis clinic, and on Monday I will also be 11 weeks post surgery. Unfortunately I am still in as much pain, if not more, than I was before surgery. I am pretty sure I have adenomyosis, and I have thought this for the last couple of years, although I have tried to push it to the back of my mind. But now that the endometriosis has been excised, and I am almost 11 weeks post surgery, and not feeling any better, I am thinking that it is more likely to be adenomyosis.
What sorts of things should I say to my gynaecologist? What sorts of things should I ask her?
TIA! Much love to you all. Sx

I am 6 weeks post lap surgery to have extensive endo excised and had a hysterectomy as well. Like you, I've still had pain similar to the pain I experienced pre-op. Ny surgeon referred me to a women's physio and she made me aware of how the muscles and areas of my pelvis that had endo on them had been contracting for years and years and talked about "muscle memory". She has given me stretches and exercises to do to help relax and switch off the tense muscles in my pelvic region. You may very well have andenomyosis but ask your gynae about physio. Best wishes to you!
