how endometriosis affect your work?

Hello ladies,

I was diagnosed 2 years ago whilst studying, and since then I haven't worked full-time in a permanent position. I'd like to know if there are any laws that cover endometriosis? What are my rights? How employers react to having an employee that has endometriosis and sometimes have to take days off due to extreme pain.

Hi,

If I'm honest you should probably get some legal advice - I don't think there is a law regarding endometriosis itself, but there will be laws regarding sick leave and illnesses. Employment law is quite a minefiled and you would be better off getting some specialist advice.

Hope you findthe answers you're looking for :) xxx

thank you for your reply. I did find a few bits and pieces here at health unlocked and online about endo being a disability. Still searching more info about it.
