7 500mg fluclucilkin tablets and my wound is oozing gunk?

I also have an infection in my belly button. I have been on the same antibiotics for nearly a week too.... I haven't had yellow oozing out of it though just red raw. Extreme sensitive burning pain all around my belly button An stomach but now it's very itchy and red and looks like the skin is coming away

Shame that's not good if you have been on anti biotics for nearly a week I'd call for second opioion Hunni, I have only had 7tablets so wasn't sure if this was normal and the infection coming out, I have sensitivity too though just sore no itchy ness. My nurse last week said the skin coming away was dead skin? Hope this is the cause for yous and wants it comes away you get some relief though as your anti biotics are nearly finished I would call them xxxd

Well I have been the hospital, Drs twice but no one seems to be really interested in it. It was fine until I took the bandage off my stomach, I had to op 2 weeks this Tuesday.

Shame so annoying when they not interested, hope you have had some relief today? As plbmakkeer95 has said have them swab it, good luck and hear if you need an ear xxxx

Tell them you want it swabbed so that you are getting the correct antibiotics. I don't know why this isn't done more often, rather than the dr just guessing and hoping they are giving you the right antibiotic.

Brilliant advice thanks don't know why I didn't think of that as my oh had many problems with his stomach and was swabbed many times xxxx

Hi Deb, couldn't see the new pic until now, it wouldn't open for some reason. That looks exactly like mine - good wash with the shower head, pat dry (I used gauze swabs bought from chemist to pat dry) and fingers crossed the antibiotics will do the trick. If its not showing signs of improvement as you continue with antibiotics they may want to dress it (sometimes use small piece of inadine for example).

Hi Sidney thanks so much for reply. Yeah I have been using the gauze swabs to dry and it has been dressed for a week with inodine already Hun, as when I first went week past thurs they said to dress with inodine to prevent moisture I he only had dressing of ten minutes last night and that's how much gunk had came out have had 11 antibiotics and still no improvment so far though will continue with them and call Tuesday if still not clearing
