I had this problem for many years, found a doctor who believed my symptoms and then sent me to see a gynaecologist where i had scans which sadly showed nothing. after a few months I had a laparoscopy done which showed endo. I have heard that a laparoscopy is one of the only ways to be 100% you have endo, so its worth looking into it and speaking to a doctor about it.

I hope you get a diagnosis!

If you have any questions or need advice i'd be happy to help if i can :)

Hi welcome to forum. There is lots of good info on here.

Scans are not always helpful and do not be put off if they come back clear. I had lots of ultra sounds that never showed anything and have severe endo. As I understand it even something like an MRI might not work to show much, even this wont show small patches which can cause just as much pain and problems.

If you have a look on user 'Lindle' s page there is advice on getting referral to specialist centres in UK. I'm not in UK and can only say that if you docs aren't listening sometimes it is worth trying other GP or just paying to see a private specialist. A laproscopy is only way to have endo diagnosed that I am aware of. Laproscopies performed by Gynae that are not experienced in endo can also miss things so, so it is worth getting to see someone with experience in this disease. Good luck with it

Hi,

Sorry to hear you're in pain. I have to agree with everyone else, I've lost count of how many scans I have had, but not one of them has shown anything. Don't let them dismiss you if the scan looks fine, if you are in pain don't let them dismiss . It sadly seems to happen so often x
