To go private or stick with NHS?

I called Bupa as I was getting desperate; can hardly afford £5,500 but thought I'd give it a go. Has anybody had experience with Bupa in London area for endometriosis diagnosis and treatment?

You need to be careful you still need the care a BSGE centre would give you which means more surgeons available. Then only private BSGE centre in London is the King Edward VII (part of Portland hospital). The main chap there is also at UCH. He told me it was seriously expensive to have treatment privately and I'd be better having referral to his UCH practice. As it sounds like your self funding maybe have an appt with him (250 games) and pay for an MRI (c 1400 GBP) but then get NHS referral to him as it will be tens of thousands. Good luck.

Marcia is right. I had private treatment with the consultant she mentioned. I had received excellent care. However, despite insurance I still need to pay a couple of thousands for out patient charges. I think it may costs 10000-15000 if paying all yourselves.
