Hi Kelzmatt,
Sorry to hear you are in pain.
I have endo on my bowel...or at least I did. I had my first laparoscopy on Monday of last week and the consultant said that the adhesions were sticking my womb and my bowels together. This could be the same with you and possibly why you feel pain. I'm feeling it now every time I go, but I suspect that there is still some healing to do from the surgery.
Generally, I only feel pain with my bowel movements when on the first couple of days on my period when the whole thing is swelled up. I can only describe the feeling as if someone is squeezing my insides.
It's good that you're getting it checked out as it's definitely a possibility. It's also wise to check for any blood in your stools.
All the best,
Mel x
Hi thanks for you reply, my bowel movements hurt everytime I go toilet it feels like scratching sorry tmi does that sound like it could be that
Hmm. Doesn't feel like scratching for me, it's more like sharp cramp and a lot of pressure. Kind of takes my breath away.
Could be that your bowels are inflamed\irritated or just that you experience it differently from me. I'm no doctor though so make sure you insist they examine you\listen to you.
Sorry I can't be more help,
Mel x
Hi Kelzmatt,
Sorry for your pain. I had endo in my bowel with lots of pain on my period used to have blood in my poo(sorry for the graphics) The pain felt like an iced pushed inside my bowel due coldness was burning. Will go for the loo for at least one hour many times a day. Anyway took a long time to diagnose back and forth with Drs. When I got pregnant it went away for four years. Thought wehee it is gone. Nope it came back with a bang this time. Luckly had a good gynecologist. Had a bowel resection last year where they removed part of my bowel that was affected. (6cm). Now side effect is I have no Endo pain anymore but have to be careful as I get constipated easly. Take a lots of fiber gel. Trying for another baby but I have a tilted uterus this can be another issue caused by the bowel resection.
Long reply. However, whatever you do please please, find recto vagina endo specialist. I had to go up North to find my specialist , as I did not want anyone to touch my bowels. It paid off to find only the best this field and there only few Drs who are skilled.
Good luck I hope this helps.
Hi LyLy23
Your reply really interested me... I have recently been getting blood in my stools, and a lot of it. I have been diagnosed with endo about 9 years ago but about a year ago was told it had progressed deep into my bowel and even through to my rectum. I was shocked as I, thankfully, had never experienced any symptoms of bowel/rectal endo. I am reluctant to go to my GP as I know they won't know anything. Im pretty sure there's not a sinister underlying cause for my blood in stools, pretty sure it's the endo. Please can you tell me which specialist doctor you saw up north and where they're based? Slightly loosing faith in my current Endo specialist. Thank you.
