Back pain

I'm a bit puzzled and was wondering if anyone could help me. I had a lap in March and endo was found on my pelvic wall. I've recently been getting extreme back pain and pain in my koksik bone. I've read that quite a few ladies on here have endo in their pouch Douglas and was wondering if these are symptoms of having endo there. I know it's quite a hard place to look at and find it and only specialists can find it so maybe my surgeon missed it. It is getting to the point where I can't lay down for a long time as I get shooting pain down my back and legs and I just want a valid reason before i go back to my doctors and ask to be referred. Thank you :) xxx

  • Hi - you are right in that general gynaecologists do often miss POD endo because it is a hidden place. Please click on my name and have a look at my post on POD endo and the one on how to find a specialist and get a referral. The only reason you need is that you are still in pain and have a right to a second opinion. x

  • Ok thank you lindle :) x

  • The answer is yes my general

Ob gyni who done my diagnostic lap said I only had to minimal

Spots of endo on left ureter...

Low and behold I had it excised from pouch of Douglas 1cm DIE nodule behind my left ovary but over my ureter a smaller DIE lesion on my right utersacral ligament also excision of both pelvic sidewalls and widespread superficial endo ablated elsewhere...,

  • Hi

That sounds exactly like me :-( I have endo on the pouch of Douglas and I can not lie on my back at all when sleeping as so painful and I get the pains down my legs. It evens get to the point where lieing on my side is uncomfortable so I just end up getting up as more comfortable for me. I suffer terribly with lower back pain! I think it's def worth asking about, good luck x

  • Ok thank you guys I definitely think I may have it, especially with what you said about your symptoms croydebay and it isn't normal for a 19 year old so they can't say oh it's normal :) I'm going to book an appointment with a doctor soon, the only thing is its quite funny when you can tell the doctor/gyno where your endo is :) xxx
