Has anyone had a lap to diagnose endo, not have endo, then have 2nd lap with endo?

I've been working with a doctor for the last 8 months to try and figure out my pain, I've had intense shooting pain down my legs, a stabbing pain by my left ovary which intensifies with my menstrual cycle, pain in back, pain during intercourse and muscle spasms after. General exhaustion and not feeling well. She strongly suspected endo and referred me to a surgeon for diagnosis. I had the lap and she took biopsies and burned sections she thought looked like endo but then the biopsies came back negative for endo. I feel very confused because my pain is definitely on a cycle and I have a lot of the symptoms. I'm not really sure where to go from here. Anyone have a similar experience and how did it resolve?
