Chiropractor to help endometriosis??

Hi I'm unsure if my endo had returned but have been off the combined pill since April and since July I had leg pain and symptoms getting worse each month before period and during. My doctor won't refer me anywhere until I have been back on my pill for 2 months. I have really bad health anxiety worrying it's something serious and looking to try anything to help. I have read that chiropractors can help so with a combination of acupuncture was going to try this. Just wondered if anyone else has experience of using a chiropractor for endo?

Hi Vicky, I stopped taking the pill last October and by February I started having symptoms and they have been getting worst ever since. I haven't tried a chiropractor but I have tried acupuncture and an osteopath and I have to say that they did not help me, I know they have help other people with the condition so I guess it does depend on your particular condition and how advance it is, I have 2 large cysts and a large endo nodule on my bowel. I am definitely going back to the osteopath after I have my lap as endo has definitely messed up my posture, not sure about the acupuncture. I am all for trying alternative treatments so do your research and if you think it will help give it a go but I think you need to push your doctor for a referral so at least you know better what you are dealing with, specially if you stopped taking the pill for a reason. Best of luck and hope you get a diagnosis soon x

Hi thank you...can I ask what symptoms you had and how they got worse? I have only ever had a small amount of pain, heavy periods, pain during period etc but since July I have had leg pain, hip pain, nerve pain in my legs x

Hi, mainly what it has got worts has been the pain, when it started it was only a few days around my period, then it when to the first 2 weeks of my cycle and for the past month it is constant. I get it mainly in my lower back and left hip, sometimes goes down my leg and some pelvic pain too. Also I get loads of spotting. Initially only a few days before my period but now it is 3 weeks of my 4 week cycle. My periods are also heavier and longer. So a bit of everything but Pain is the worst. I am taking pain relief every day now and still in pain most of the time. So that is why I would press for a referral sooner rather than later as in my experience it can progress quite quickly. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do x
