Concern
Hi mzbrown, what part of the endometriosis are you concerned about?
Hello, cakegirl25 the surgery and what could possibly go wrong, and will it actually stop all the pain! My Dr said sometimes there's still pain afterward..feeling so unsure
Hello I was nervous as well about the surgery. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Being told I had it felt a relief at first I did find after a couple of days I was quite angry and not being believed for 4 years though. I was in more pain than I thought I would be too. But for me on a personal level knowing I was right was worth the pain. I read a lot of things on websites about the op saying it would only take 3 days to recover, but I had 2 weeks of work as for me after 3 days I still couldn't get into the bath on my own. I had a Marina coil fitted at the same time as the endo being removed and after healing I had a couple months pain free but it did start returning. I'm 14 months on now and I do have pain again when it's that time of the month and do have pain throughout the rest of the month. It's not as bad as it was but it's getting there. (This is obviously just my experience and I'm not saying its the same for everyone!) Has your consultant been through the procedure with you and the risks involved? For me personally I'm glad I had it because I wasn't coping with people not believing me and I was starting to think I was making it all up. I don't know if any of this will help
But hearing others experiences on this site has helped me to make certain choices. I'd say whatever you choose to do, do it for you and collect all the information you need to make the best choice for yourself.
