I'm normally a happy, smiley person but today I feel shocked/tearful and exhausted - Endo returned after 9 months

Hiya...am not a doctor bt hav suffered wit endo for 20yrs now.....each one of us is different and unfortunately for me it has returned over n over again....my best advice 2 u wud b to go back 2 ur doctor n get him 2 refer u back 2 ur gynae doc n write down a list of questions u wanna ask...dats d onli advice i can giv u and while ur waiting for ur gynae appointment im sure ur doctor will b able 2 prescribe meds 2 help wit ur symptoms....Best of luck n sori i cudnt help u more x

It is terribly disappointing as you go through the anxiety of treatment and have hopes that things will be better. I am sorry to read how you are feeling. Have you had a firm diagnosis that endo has returned or is it that you suspect it due to a return of symptoms? You did not say in your post what treatment you underwent for endo.

Definitely good advice above to go back and talk to your GP/consultant. Even go as far as to get a referral to a different consultant if you are not confident in the first one. Ask to see an endo consultant rather than a general gynae.

everyone's life situation and health circumstances are unique but the consensus amongst the leading light endo consultants is that surgical excision of endo provides the best outcome.

Hi cuddly bear and Stevieflp = what lovely messages you've left for me and such sound advice- thank you. Unfortunately, it is a definite diagnosis from my consultant and I do trust his diagnosis as I thought it returned as well myself. Fortunate for me I don't live in the UK but am ex=pat's wife and I have private health care and can see my consultant regularly without the huge waiting list that awaits me when I return to the UK.

Hi, I know the feeling, I had mine removed march 2013 and went for a scan on Monday to be told it's returned! I am so upset, all the questions run around your head, i am worried if ill he able to have children, I'm 19 and going through this already , I am sorry to hear yours is back too

Hi Hannah,jus 2 let u no dat ive had endo for 20yrs now(had it wen i was 15)and even tho I had a hysterectomy a few years back I have 2 beautiful son's and Im sure u will hav children 2.....unfortunately it cums back bt at dis stage im used 2 it and no I hav 2 go back on treatment and try deal wit it as best i can.....try not 2 worry n jus take each day as it cums...feel free 2 pm anytime....Alison x

I take Serrapeptase to control the inflammation of endometriosis, it is an enzyme which targets clots, dead tissue and scar tissue but won't harm living healthy tissue. Make sure that you are able to take it by consulting your gynaecologist, in case of any pre-existing underlying health conditions other than your endo. and also if you are on any medication, as far as I know there have been no reports of serious side effects, this has to be take daily on an empty stomach an hour before food and can be bought at good 'independent' health shops. Please take a look at Robert Redfern's website, he is a nutritionist, you can ask him questions which may help put your mind at ease about the use of Serrapeptase.
