Does anyone know of any reliable books about endo? I've seen a few on amazon but I'm not sure how helpful/useful they are.

Do you mean about the endo diet? I'm not sure there is enough info about endo itself to fill even a pamflet never mind a book. Save money and check them out at the local library befor you decide to invest in them. Or look on amazon for reviews. Personally I haven't bought any endo books. Not much point to my way of thinking when so much is available and up to date online these days, and each of us has our own unique journey with the disease.

Investing in a book about the endo diet and recipes or food suggestions is probably a very good idea, but on the disease itself...use the internet. So many websites filled with graphics, videos, articles, experiences, and so on. And being updated all the time. Many are created by eminent endo surgeons and experts.

Any books you recommend on the endo diet in particular Impatient? I'd be interested to give it a go. My nutritionist recommended going vegan and cutting out gluten but that didn't seem to make any difference (tried that for a little over 3 months).

I came across this article on food on the Gluten Free Guerrillas site.

I agree with Impatient, the library is good for research first to try out books. I found a great book that I recommend called "Endometriosis. Natural & Medical Solutions" by Kaz Cooke & Ruth Trickey.

It depends on whether you want scientific facts and figures or a go to book - if it's the latter, I'd thoroughly recommend Endometriosis For Dummies. Still my 'bible' after 20 years of endo

Much of the books on endo are based on old mythic beliefs that have lead the industry astray for nearly 100 years.

Hi there

I highly recommend Coping with Endometriosis by Robert H Phillips and Glenda Motta. It's a red cover.

Another excellent one is Endometriosis by Susie Hayman. You can probably find both of these on amazin and/or ebay. The Hayman one is quite old but very helpful despite that.

Hope this helps

I can recommend "Stop Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain" by Dr Andrew S Cook. He is one of the top USA endo surgeons/consultants. I have done a lot of research and reading about endo and about all kinds of other related things and I think this book has a lot of valuable information, not only about endo treatment but about lifestyle, diet, chemicals we encounter in daily life that we could well do without etc.

From what I can see, the stuff by David Redwine, already mentioned above, is honest and straight to the point, and also attempts to debunk many of the common myths associated with the condition. If I were spending money on something, it'd be his stuff. I would also remember though that he is a surgeon, so is a bit biased towards surgical methods of treatment. Whatever you buy, try to also get something that talks about dietary influences and alternative approaches. You could try the book 'Key to Healing' by Dian Shepperson Mills. It might be a bit out of date now though.
