Can osteopathy help with chronic pain?

Hello fellow Enkers, some years ago when I first damaged my vertebrae lifting a stone sink I was whisked to hospital by ambulance and diagnosed with compression fractures and osteoporosis. It took about a month to heal the fractures.

I was prescribed pain relief and felt after some time that there must be an alternative. Almost by chance I consulted a local private osteopath who helped to realign my spine and ease my muscles. It seemed to solve the pain problem and I attended once a month afterwards gaining skeletal health and improved posture in the process.

Here's a link to an advice site that will help you decide if osteopathy can assist you.

Manual therapies, including OMT, Rolfing, Somatic Experiencing, and cranial-sacral massage, have helped me a lot, but I need a session at least weekly, and each session is expensive, so it is hard to justify when one doesn’t have an income… I do need to find more practitioners in our new city, especially those without COVID restrictions like masks. Overall, I also recommend manual therapy for fellow Enkers.
