I’ve never had hayfever before, only mild symptoms last year. Both my mum and brother suffer from it and my symptoms seem to be worse this year including blocked nose and head, sore throat, losing smell, shortness of breath.
Due to coronavirus going around i have done my temperature and all normal. Seems to be worse when i wake up in the mornings. Any advice?

My first hay fever started this year end of March .at first i did not know what it was until the doctor told me its hay fever .I've had blocked nose ,runny nose with clear mucus and lack of sleep .i don't know whether my blocked nose is causing this .but i did not know that hay fever can be this bad and i didn't know what it was at first .I have recently done a blood test for trees and dust mites and i am waiting for the gp to tell me the results. My Gp adviced me if the Medication are not working i should just leave them. It's been hard to find medications that work.I was told told their is no cure for hay fever. The side effects of hay fever medication especially steroids were very bad so at the moment i am only using a saline nasal spray.Since its my first time i can only tell you what i am going through how i wish i could offer you some advice .I also have a family member who has had hay fever ever since they were young so the symptoms are not the same as mine probably they don't take any notice like we do.Hope you get well.
I had what was thought to be hay fever but it turned out to be dust mites. The NHS was completely useless and I had to pay privately for allergy tests and also had a check to make sure it wasn’t polyps. The consultant thought it was toxins in the air. I had to force him to do the test, and of course had to pay for them. End result nothing, except I know what the problem is. None of the treatments seem to work and people with hay fever say the same. We are just putting money into the hands of the manufacturers. The only thing that worked to clear my nose was Sudafed, but we are not supposed to use it for more than 7 days. I have got myself off it. Nose blockage not too bad now but suffering from a dry mouth and difficulty speaking. I think we just have to suffer.
