what is talapies?

If your baby is born with talapies (also known as club foot) one or both feet points down or inwards with the sole of the foot facing backwards.

Talapies is not painful for baby's but if it isn't treated it can become painful and make it difficult for babies to walk as they get older.

Talapies is very common and about 1 in 1000 babies get it when they are born in the UK. Both feet are affected in about half of these babies.
