Spider webs to replace damaged tendons and ligaments!

Was speaking to my Mum today about artificial limbs and she said "can't you have all your tendons replaced with these new spider silk ones?" You can imagine my face as I burst out laughing. However, I then googled it and she's right....here's the article, sounds as though this could be helpful with EDS people.

I'm not sure it would work for classical EDS sufferers as it might cause more damage than benefit, but maybe for hypermobile sufferers...
