You need to get your GP to prescribe you some blood pressure tables, this will help with the the bp and headaches . You should also start removing salt from your diet . Also try drinking a glass of tonic water a day for a while the quinine in it may help with the pins and needles .
Start working out which foods make you feel worse . I found some foods I love were just too rich for me .
H Powtaz, I am stage three too, and though we are told not to expect much in the way of symptoms, I often get the feeling sick after meals symptom, and find I need more sleep than I used to. My blood pressure was high, but is being controlled by tablets. I think I would see your GP and tell him your symptoms and get it sorted out. I find like Pluto94 that I can no longer eat anything too rich or too high in protein, like steak. I have two days a week on a low protein, meat free diet, which has helped me, but you need to check with your doc first.
Hope you feel better soon xx
Hi there,
I agree with all the advice and have similar symptoms. I find if I am having palpitations it can be due to the diet being too low in phosphate try a banana when you have the palpitations it may help. You really need to get your blood pressure under control as this will lead to more pressure on the kidneys. I drink tonic water when ever i feel the restless legs?pins and needle feelings and find it helps me too.
Best regards Christine
All comments are good, my headaches went once on blood pressure medicine, you must really try hard to cut out salt from your diet, don't eat processed food as those foods contain salt and other chemicals that are not good for the kidneys. At your stage you should be able to drink 2 L of water a day, this helps wash out excess salts and toxins. I hope you get the help ou need.
I bought a blood pressure monitor and measure about once a week. Its best to get your blood pressure monitored also by a nurse. As the advice above its best to see your GP as to whether you need blood pressure medication this may help to prolong kidney function.
Hi
I would see your GP and discuss the symptoms as they are not necessarily connected to your kidney problem.
