Calf muscles
Is it worth having your calcium levels checked out? This can affect muscles.
Calcium? Can kidney affect this
I don't know if it's the same, but I suffer terribly from 'restless legs syndrome', especially when trying to get to sleep - it keeps me awake for ages. I don't know if this is connected to my CKD 3, but it seems to have got worse since I've had it. Does anyone else have this?
Hi[
Yes I have this too and it drives me mad, seems to start in the early evening most times and stops me getting to sleep or wakes me in the night. Just been told that apple cider vinegar can help with the problem so going to get some and give it a try as do not want to hit the heavy painkillers all the time.
hi the kidney can affect your bones and most renal patients are on calcium carbonate so mention it to your renal dr , they may suggest something else even tramadol which i take , i get restless legs and joints to and that seems to be working
Restless legs seem to be pretty common amongst dialysis patients. My self and a few of the patients on my dialysis bay have this. My specialist prescribed a sedative called clonazepam for me years ago. If I miss it my legs run a marathon of their own accord and get that horrible restless achy feeling but when taken it does work a treat.
I am at hospital next week so will ask and will post answer. Also i am going to cab today about claiming dla so will let you all know the outcome.
Thanks for raising this topic , i thought it was just me who got this . Good luck with your claim .
Can weren't much cop, gave me a booklet and told me to ring the number for a form.
i find that indian tonic water is grat for restless but even more so for cramp. i always have a bottle by the side of the bed and take a few swiggs if it starts up. usually gone in 5-10 minutes.
