Hi Sharonhell,

yes, itchy skin CAN be from high phosphorous. Do you have high phosphorous in your lab results. Phosphorous is many things including most dairy, meats and other not processed foods. It is also an additive to many things but will come up on the label with different names such as phosphate.

it depends on where you feel itchy...i always apply Aveeno oatmeal lotion on my body after showering....sometimes my feet will itch and i apply ice for a few minutes...these two things take care of it for me....i also watch my phosphorus and salt intake

I get it only when I am on dialysis machine. I asked the nurse and she told it maybe high phosphorus or sometimes allergies. But then, that didn't satisfy me at all because it happens only on those specific days when I am sitting there for three and hours. She recommended talking Benedril. By the way I don't have any known allergies so far. Has anyone experienced something like this and how do they deal with it? Thank you.

My back itches a lot, mostly in the evening. What foods have high phosphorus?

I put up with increasing itchiness and tiny blisters for several weeks, then stopped taking a statin drug as it was the last thing new. Within 24 hours a marked difference. In two more days, occasional itching and blisters healing.
