FARXIGA USE: DOSE ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO... - Early CKD Support
FARXIGA USE
My nephrologist says that the clinical trials worked really well, 40% success rate, that’s pretty good.
Yes, It is a new diabetes drug that is not only for cardiac issues, but is kidney protective. My husband just went on it and has already noticed a lower glucose readings. Just make sure you drink lots of water with it.
This drug was approved in the United States for the treatment of CKD in April of this year. at the time it was called "the most significant advancement in the treatment of chronic kidney disease in more than 20 years"!!!!!!It lowers the risk of kidney getting worse, of reaching end stage kidney function and of death by 39%. I'm not sure why we are all not placed on it, but there probably are preconditions, etc. I hope it works well for you, it sure should.
I think you will find the following websites very useful:farxiga.com/

thanks to everyone for their feedback. i read somewhere that farziga could not help much if your egfr was below 40. what can you tell me? danny
I could find no such information. In fact the drug is highly recommended for those approaching or at end stage renal disease. Most of the tests were performed on those at stage 3 or greater. But you doctor should know for sure. Being a new drug it is kind of pricey at about just over $500 for a 30 day supply.
