Kidney function up to 36% from 19% on diagnosis in November, now stage 3. Has anyone else with similar numbers had the text from NHS yet, with regards to isolating for 12 weeks?
NHS text? : Kidney function up to 36% from... - Early CKD Support
NHS text?
It's only the Extremely Vulnerable group receiving the "12 weeks" text, not the High Risk group.
I received the text yesterday and have asthma and PKD. My asthma is well controlled and my PKD is at stage 1. I wouldn't of classed my self as extremely vulnerable. 🤔
That is great news that your numbers are going the right way! No I have not had a single thing from my kidney clinic.
Can you advise how you have managed to improve your kidney function? Well done & thanks in advance!
Everyone is different but the key to my function numbers was controlling my blood pressure and my meds have been tweaked since nov so that my bp will be more controlled. As well has health choices such as no alcohol. My function has actually dropped by 5% to 31% following a phone call with my specialist this week but it is likely due to a new BP I have been taking.
Thank you for taking the time to reply! Hope they sort out your BP now, wishing you well - stay safe & sane .
I have level 3 but have received no NHS issue regarding my condition. I also have high blood pressure and am a key worker. To be fair to my employer (Council) I can work from home. They have considered me high risk also for the fact I look after my 3 grandchildren due to my daughter in law being a key worker. Although self isolating the issues are enormous due to the fact I still work, am a childminder and also my mum is 91 this year. How far can isolation work when both my husband and son are construction workers and considered fine for work observing the 2m rule.
