fatigue with ckd 3

I get terrible fatigue I'm stage3 and I also get cramp mostly in left leg any help will be welcome

Try drinking tonic water which will help your cramps. I keep a bottle beside my bed. I also have a hand-held massager which also helps with severe episodes

1 have been trying tonic water but with having only half colon it does not help stomach I had bowel cancer 2 years ago and Ihave to watch I eat and drink.

Consider asking your Doctor about possible treatments for the symptoms. I am at CKD 3b also, and have peripheral neuropathy. I went to Physical Therapy; and Neurologist prescribed medicine. Both have helped me.

thanks for the help I am going for annual checkup on 2nd October had bloods done10 days ago and I will ask nurse about these symptoms. I also have copd and angina I am 82 years old but still get out gardening and short walks.

I am 78 and still active. Do Silver Sneakers exercise and short walks. Great you are doing gardening. A wonderful hobby.

Where is your "angina" ? That is a Latin word that simply means "pain". Angina pectoris is a pain in the chest. The doctors just try to confuse us by acting smart. Of course the pain could be anywhere. I am 83 and still looking for answers too. About the time I think I have the cramps controlled, I get woke up with another one. Mineral water is on hand, only in GLASS bottles. Keep me posted.

I searched the internet about your condition. Found this advice from reputable website:

Stretch the muscle

Massage

Take a hot shower or bath

Drink plenty of water

Wear comfortable shoes

That's interesting about the cause - any tips out there on how to correct the imbalances? I get cramps occasionally - usually in the middle of the night, so not a convenient time for a shower/bath. I usually massage my leg, then take a trip to the bathroom and the cramp has gone by the time I come back to bed. Until that happens the pain usually gets quite agonizing. I probably don't drink enough water. Didn't know that about the shoes.

Have them check your B12, Vit D and PTH levels. Often CKD patients are off in one or all of these. I was off on B12 and adding it to my plan helped. You always should pair it with folate, but your doctor can talk more about that. Hope you have more energy soon!

Initially prior to my diagnosis I had those symptoms the fatigue and cramps were mega. Now I am on a ckd diet for stage 3 and faithfully follow it...don't forget we need salt and phosphates but keep them to daily recommended levels and all diet advice. I am 72 and my symptoms have receded so am feeling so much fitter
