rheumatoid nodules

I was treated for a Burketts Lymphoma 20 years ago and am pleased to say that I have been in remission ever since. However I now have CKD Stage 3b and have just been told that I have rheumatoid nodules on my hand, have just read that rheumatoid arthritus can cause kidney damage but am wondering if the ckd can cause the rheumatoid arthritus. I am also wondering if you can get the nodules under your feet as I do seem to have a lump there too.

Has anybody had the same experience?

HI Milko,

Yes there is a link to CKD and Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis, which is what I have. Both cause inflammation as do other autoimmune diseases. But your can maintain kidney function with diet and knowing what drugs you are on. Here's a link:

Thank you so much for your reply, I try to keep to a good diet and my ckd seems pretty stable, being told I had the beginning of rheumatoid arthritis threw me although it was good to know that the swelling on my finger was not the cancer returned. I am taking Amlodopine for high blood pressure but that is all. Will look at web site you sent me.

I hope you are having a good day and thanks for the link.
