Hi fiends,

As starfruit can be toxic for kidneypatients, when you go out to eat, are at a dinner etc do you always ask if there are starfruit in the food? I guess maybe you need to eat quite a bit for it to be toxic (I'm not sure) so maybe it's overly cautious I don't know. What do you think?

Hello Fluuux,

We are sorry but have not experienced this type of intolerance before.

Can any of our other members assist with this query please?

I hope people are aware of it, maybe I'm being to cautious with not eating anything that has it in the ingridients but at least you shouldn't eat it straight up

Might as well avoid it.

National Kidney Foundation agrees that it's harmful. See:

Yeah I know, just kind of wondering of diligent you have to be in that avoidance
