Slow drifting/floating limbs

Does anyone experience involuntary drifting of arms upwards or sideways from a static position. I.e. if arms held at side when still o or when outstretched out in front at shoulder level. I must emphasise that the drift is very slow and not jerky.

Hi Lily41 I had a similar effect recently which was quite involuntary. As you say it is more like a floaty feeling. I usually have more sudden jerky movements which my Doc thought could have been epilepsy but it is myoclonus combined with dystonia.

Thank you so much for yr reply Peonies18. You are the first person who seems to recognise these floating movements. I shall investigate myoclonus dystonia. Best wishes Lily4.

Yes I do experience that in my arm. My arm just floats around when it gets really tight, and I let it float around loved ones and friends who will not judge as I believe it's good to let the body do what it needs to. I believe this might be because of tghe myofascial tissue being so tight and also muscle tightness, not sure. My PT told me when it happens to let it "float". Good luck and big hug, this is such an uncomfotable disease.
