For the last 4yrs I have wanted to go on the Tricamalee (don't think I have spelled that right), but it’s a star there. An old wooden Royal Navy ship. I like my boats.
Been there today & met some lovely people. Nice to talk to diabetics from different parts of the UK. Lots of talks today about LOW CARBs etc. Good speakers !

After more than 51years of T1 you always pick up some amount of knowledge from others at these type of events. It does not heart & is good for you. Sharing tips !
Last year I gave a talk to more than 200 members. I am a "Sparkie" & not a public speaker. But if you know about something you can not be stopped. I was not good the night before with worry but everyone liked what I had to say & lots came up to shack my hand after. Pleased with event & members this year recognised me.
If you get the chance go to one of DRWF events. Lots of info & you will come home with a bag full of info & you will feel good & Knowledgeable, (big word from me)
