So...3 weeks in and I've managed 14 out of 21 days completely drink free. Better than zero days drink free which was my old norm.
Still drinking too much on the other 7 nights, but surely it's a good start??

Really great start! Big steps forward! I’m finding writing down a few sentences about how I feel on the days I don’t drink va the days I do really brings forwards the pros and cons to the forefront of my mind , not sure if it would help you keep going or if you’ve tried it at all? But thought I’d mention it 😊
Thanks for the support 😀👍Yeah, writing stuff down is a good idea. My brain does work that way...I'll try that.
Well done. I also like to keep a record of my progress, I used to focus on the amount of days that I was drink free, now my main focus is on how much I drink. I try to stay under 20 units per week, ( still too much some would say) but compared to what I was drinking that is very little. To help me reduce the amount I have in one drink I use a 25ml measure in a glass that I used to do a free hand pour into ,which must have been 70 ml to 80ml every time. My usual poison is vodka and coke and after the first drink I hardly notice that the alcohol concentration is much lower. Just to make sure that I don't miss calculate I weigh the bottle at the start and finish. So if you are a spirits drinker and like to record things this may work for you. I know that this would be too much for some people.
Good luck.
