Mantra Meditation

As part of the 12 steps is Meditation and after trying several forms of meditation I found Mantra Meditation to be real effective. Iskcon Founder Acharya AC Bakitvendanta Swami Propogated the Hare Krishna Mantra in the western world and Beatles member George Harrison was a staunch follower of chanting the holy name until he died in 2001. I started to chant 3 rounds and slowly developed taste for it. Its a very simple mantra to invoke the holy names. Anyone can recite it there are no hard and fast rules when and where to chant it. The mantra goes like this:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
