Alcohol Detox soon

Hi

I’m visiting the alcohol nurse for assessment for detox as I ended up in hospital last time, then Covid hit and I drank again no support.

im in uk. I have a question as my Hba1c test was normal but I have symptoms of diabetes. And my ALT was double the usual about 80 AST was about 45 only slightly over. What tests will she do next Tuesday and any advice on what they do please do they check your liver or anything else thanks

Welcome to the community. This is a good place to be if you’re looking to either stop or moderate your drinking. I don’t know how to moderate. I failed miserably at that. Abstinence is the path for me.

I don’t know the answers to your question. I’ve never been “assessed.” I just got to the point where I knew I was powerless over alcohol and my life was unmanageable. I reached out for help. And grabbed onto it.
