Need to quit for health reasons

I need to cut down or stop. I work full time mon to Friday but only alcohol free mon Tuesday Wednesday , Thursday Friday yea times I start. Saturday Sunday it’s usually lunch time. Prossecco wine gin. I’ve just been told I have high cholesterol , high blood pressure. Put weight on over the last few years. I would like to quit to be honest and get healthier, I’m 53 have 6 bful grandchildren everything to try for. Any tips.

Glad you’re here. 😊 Have you tried to control when or how much you drink? And if you have, what did you do and what was the outcome?

Try some controlled drinking. And see how that works out for you. If that doesn’t work, try stopping. If that doesn’t work, report back to us. You may have a disease called alcoholism. But it’s a self diagnosing disease. Only you can say you have it. If you do, there are treatment modalities available.

I have purchased the Annie grace books going to give them a read this weekend and try have a drinkFree weekend while I do that😏

Binge drinking is thought to be worse for health than moderate drinking more often, however, there is a product called Naltrexone that can help peope with drug or and alcohol addiction or lack of control. Doctors can prescribe. You could do some research online about it read some testimonials.

I believe it is. No harm in talking to your doctor abut it.
