Hi

I’m here to cut down on what I’m drinking weekly, would love any advice and tips that have helped you all. 😁

I tried everything. Only drinking after a certain hour. Only drinking on certain days. Only having three drinks. None of it worked. I even tried to stop drinking on my own and that didn’t work either.

Today I just don’t drink for one day at a time. I know I can drink tomorrow. But that never gets here. And it hasn’t for quite some time.

Thank you so much for connecting, I try everything and then by the evening I think oh I woke hard why not treat myself. So you just say each day I’m not going to drink today? X

In addition to not drinking I also make AA meetings virtually regularly. I need the company of other drunks to talk to. We’re all trying to recover and I can’t do this alone. I will PM you info about how to find meetings.

Hi. I have cut down on my drinking from most nights to 2. The thing that worked for me was to incorporate exercise in my health overhaul. I did C25K and Parkrun and plan my runs for the early Morning so I don’t want to drink the night before as a hangover would either derail my plans or I wouldn’t be able to give my best. For me the fitter I get the less likely I am to undo all my hard work. Good luck with finding what works for you.

Wow love your story and strength, congratulations. I am trying to focus on getting up early every day so that’s my motivation to stop drinking after work in the evening. It’s a bad habit I must break.
