I was just wondering if anyone else has been told by their surgery their stroke doesn’t qualify for the vaccine as an underlying health condition?
I had a haemorrhagic stroke in my 20s and I’ve contacted my surgery who told me I didn’t qualify. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know where I can find more information about why??

Even with vaccination we can't go back to normal until most of world is vaccinated. I've just had my first vaccination and another 12 weeks until the second one is due. Plus a few weeks to wait for it to be effective.Hopefully the roll out will be smooth and clear to get us in a better place for next year.
Hello. I had a stroke five years ago and I am having my vaccine on Saturday. On the stroke website and the nhs website (if you are in the UK) stroke is listed as being in the priority group for having the vaccine. Hope this helps
For some reason my doctors have said the haemorrhagic stroke I had isn’t a stroke and I don’t qualify.
Iv tried to clarify, the stroke association have said I belong in group 6, along with many others... just my doctor who for some reason doesn’t know a brain haemorrhage is a haemorrhagic stroke...
I had my jab on 7th Jan. They asked general health questions(the same ones they asked my husband.) then gave me mine. Just waiting for the call for my second.
